The Miraculous Crucifix of Ta’ Ġieżu in Gozo
In the first week of February, the Gozo Diocese announced that the Miraculous Crucifix of Ta’ Ġieżu will be venerated in Gozo from the 7th to the 9th of March. A programme of various celebrations has been planned, offering all Gozitans the opportunity to pray before the crucifix.
On Friday, March 7th, two special events will be held at Franciscan Church in Għajnsielem, for adolescents and young adults. The celebration for adolescents (Forms 2-6) will begin at 8:00pm, followed by the youth celebration (ages 18+) at 9:30 pm. Both gatherings will include a brief catechesis, moments of prayer, and adoration. Additionally, priests will be available for confession during the youth celebration.
These celebrations aim to help adolescents and young adults deepen their understanding of the Miraculous Crucifix, engage in reflection and prayer, and embark on a personal journey of spiritual growth.

Echoes of World Youth Day Lisbon
There was in total a group of 30 Gozitans, for the World Youth Day (WYD) in Portugal. The group was composed of pilgrims coming from different backgrounds, between the ages of 15 and 59 years. Some pilgrims were part of a youth group, others joined by themselves. Uniting and guiding the group there was the spiritual leader H.E. Mons. Anton Teuma who apart from delivering a catechesis to the Gozitan and Maltese in Portugal, humbly, throughout the week sustained the pilgrims with his words.
