Christ the King: The Walk
KDŻG is excited to announce that the Christ the King Walk is back for young adults aged 18 and older! This year, we will reflect on hope through different lenses of faith, led by notable speakers as we journey together different Gozitan locations that will lead us to Ta’ Pinu.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, 23 November 2024
- Meeting Point: Munxar Church
- Destination: Ta’ Pinu National Shrine (transport to Munxar will be provided).
About The Walk:
Starting from Munxar, this year’s pilgrimage walk features thought-provoking catechesis on hope, with reflections from:
- Fr. Noel Debono (Munxar Church) – on the hope exemplified by St. Paul,
- Miriam Portelli (Għasri Church) – sharing a personal journey of hope rooted in the Eucharist,
- Bishop Anton Theuma (Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary) – offering insights into the hope we find in Mary.
Along the Journey:
As we journey together, this symbolic walk of faith will be filled with moments of prayer and reflection. Upon reaching the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary, we will be welcomed by the music of Francesco and Janelle, as we settle for the final steps of our pilgrimage.
At Ta’ Pinu, Bishop Anton Teuma will offer a concluding catechesis, followed by a blessing and the Sacrament. The evening will close with refreshments and time for fellowship, allowing us to share in the spirit of community. A bus will be available to bring participants back to Munxar at the end of the event.
Don’t miss these unique evenings filled with inspiration, friendship, and a look “Ahead!”
