Faith on the Rocks is back!
Mark your calendars! We are thrilled to announce our second Faith on the Rocks event, this time, under the summery skies! We will dive deep into the dynamic interplay between Christianity and culture with our theme, “Christianity: Faith vs. Culture.” This promises to be an evening of insightful discussion and lively debate as we explore how our festas, a vibrant part of our identity, intersect with our faith.

Location: Calypso Parking, Xagħra
Enjoy stunning views of Gozo and a refreshing summer breeze, as we gather right next to the legendary Calypso Cave, steeped in history and myth.
Panelists:
- Martin Cilia MSSP, Superior of Dar Stella Maris, Żebbuġ, will share his theological expertise on how faith shapes and is shaped by cultural traditions, particularly within the context of Maltese festas.
- Brendon Spiteri, a feast enthusiast and active member of the Munxar community, will bring his passion and extensive knowledge of local feasts to light, highlighting their cultural significance for young people and the community.
- Ranier Fsadni, an assistant Lecturer on the Anthropological Sciences at the University of Malta, will share with us invaluable insights into the sociocultural aspects of this topic.
These esteemed panelists, along with our moderator, the well-known journalist Mark Laurence Zammit, will guide us through a rich blend of religious, cultural, and sociological perspectives on this fascinating topic.

Echoes of World Youth Day Lisbon
There was in total a group of 30 Gozitans, for the World Youth Day (WYD) in Portugal. The group was composed of pilgrims coming from different backgrounds, between the ages of 15 and 59 years. Some pilgrims were part of a youth group, others joined by themselves. Uniting and guiding the group there was the spiritual leader H.E. Mons. Anton Teuma who apart from delivering a catechesis to the Gozitan and Maltese in Portugal, humbly, throughout the week sustained the pilgrims with his words.
